There are things in life that you never get tired of. Hot cocoa in front of a crackling fire as snow falls quietly outside, finding sea shells on the sandy beach, the smell of freshly cut hay in a farmer’s field, and the slobbery kisses from a dog that loves you.
This morning I woke up to just that; A wet nose bopping me in the face. Kaiah, my border collie/australian shepherd, was ready get out of the house and make her rounds to say good morning to all the barn yard animals. She was starting to get impatient, laying down, head between front paws, letting out little whines. The excitement she had when I stood up and started walking to the door made me smile. Bouncing and twirling, then, SLIP! down on her rump she fell, back on her feet she was practically flying down the hall.
The enthusiasm a dog has just because they can go out side. Its these small things that make my life all the more wonderful.
